SELF-CATERING or bed & breakfast

Rafiki is made up of 2 different concepts of accommodation. Ideally situated at the main camp, Rafiki offers Bed and Breakfast options as well as Self-Catering chalets. Rafiki also has quick access to our curio shop, tuck shop, reception, restaurant, boma and outdoor facilities such as the swimming pool and our mini-golf course.

Rafiki is a popular camp for those looking for a get-away that’s in the bush, but not too rustic!

Rafiki is made up of 6 Bed and Breakfast units – Sleeping 2 people each. These units are equipped with in-room facilities including coffee and tea, a mini fridge, and a microwave. Each room has an en-suite bathroom, air conditioner, is powered by solar, and has Wi-Fi access. None of our rooms are equipped with a TV to allow you to enjoy the full beauty of the bush!

Rafiki’s 3 Self-Catering units are ideal for family or group guests. Each unit contains 2 private bedrooms, each including an en-suite bathroom, air conditioner, solar power, and Wi-Fi access. Coffee and tea are available in the communal kitchen area, which is fully equipped with a full-size fridge, gas stove, microwave, and enough cutlery and crockery for 4 people sharing.

Each room leads onto a small patio, and further to an open-air braai facility with bench seating around the fire pit. Firewood is available for purchase at Reception.

“This is my third time to Shikwaru … We stayed in Rafiki which is next to the main lodge. The entire experience at Shikwaru brings a whole new meaning to fresh air and relaxation. Great family place. The accommodations are wonderful, the food is outstanding, and the scenery is fabulous. You can hunt, fish, go on safari, golf…. And you are supporting an amazing ministry at the same time.”
