Bass Camp is a beautifully secluded area nestled against the mountain and next to our bass dam. Built as a single unit originally used primarily for fishermen, Bass Camp is a renovated two story wooden cottage. Upgraded to accommodate a truly rustic family get away, with a few comforts of home – This camp is perfect for those who are truly looking to get off the grid for a while.
With two stories, two full bathrooms – one with a soaker tub, an equipped kitchen, a second story sitting deck, and a dam side braai area — this camp is true bush paradise.
Bass Camp is the perfect place for those looking to get “off the grid.” This camp runs on its own solar power system that assists with lights and outlets but does not support an electric kettle, microwave, hair dryer, flat iron, electric razor, etc – Making it the perfect camp to spend some time getting back to basics. Bass Camp can sleep up to 5 people on a double bed, a single bed, and a sleeper couch.
The bass dam on which this camp is situated is home to 4 species of fish and the area is home to a variety of bird species – making this dam a perfect place to rest peacefully or enjoy some light fishing. Please note that fishing in our Bass Dam is catch and release only!
This camp requires high-clearance vehicles for safer access. Steep spiral stairs in Bass Camp may not be easily accessible for elderly or disabled people. There is no Wi-Fi and very limited cell phone service at Bass Camp.

“Check-in was smooth and friendly. We stayed at Bass Camp. It was lovely. Right next to a little waterfall. What we really appreciated was that it was an eco-friendly self-catering camp. Very tranquil. Beds were very comfortable with crisp linen.”
